The Health Inspector is one of my favorite free tools available on the app exchange for maintaining instance health.
Ok, I might be a little impartial. Many years ago, I had a hand in helping to bring this application to the app exchange. That being said, it’s still a simple but powerful tool. And still an app I recommend to all my clients.
What does Health Inspector do exactly?
Put simply, the Health Inspection app enables you to configure and schedule the execution of all your apex test classes. Based on your configuration, the app provides an email audit report (also configurable) which identifies test class failures, test classes running longer than a desired threshold, code coverage lower than a desired threshold, and flow code coverage lower than a desired threshold.
By auditing test class executions, instance administrators can proactively identify and resolve test related issues immediately… making for a healthier instance.

Leveraging the Exposed Data Collection Routines from the Health Inspector application, the Sproket Logic H.I. Box (Black Stripe Edition) retrieves and displays the data via the box.

Absolutely.
- On a configurable schedule, the box connects to a configured salesforce instance.
- The process retrieves the Exposed Data Collection Routine payload.
- The data is displayed in the box via LED indicators and analog gauges.
What is displayed?
- On the right hand side, a blue indicator light indicates that a wifi connection has been established and the salesforce credentials successfully logged into the instance.
- The left quadrant displays the overall Code Coverage percentage in the instance. The green/yellow/red led indicators display indicating if code coverage is acceptable, on the line, or problematic.
- The right quadrant displays the overall Flow Coverage percentage in the instance. The green/yellow/red led indicators display indicating if flow coverage is acceptable, on the line, or problematic.
- The center red led flashes a count of errors encountered.
